The MastersounD Output Transformer
One of the most important components in creating a good tube amplifier is the output transformer.
At MastersounD output transformers are wrapped one at a time by hand on a mechanical winding machine, based on the experience, passion and the research of Mr. Cesare Sanavio.
He then transmitted such knowledge to his son Mr. Luciano Sanavio who succeeded in the great challenge of further innovating it in a surprising way. and introducing an innovative and unique construction technique that makes MastersounD output transformer unique in the world.
This precious tradition is the cornerstone of the outstanding quality of our amplifiers, which offer an exceptional performance thanks to their special output transformers. Great dynamics, power and harmonic richness, are the characteristics that a class A tube amplifier can and must have without the classic limitations imposed by traditional output transformers.
Because of this MastersounD, it keeps its secret very carefully.

At the end of the day, the MastersounD BoX is a feature-packed integrated amplifier that boasts fabulous build quality, thoughtful design and splendid sonics that well exceeds its $4,000 price tag. The BoX’s musical performance competes favorably with notable designs I’ve heard from companies such as,Pass, T+A, and Jeff Rowland. The BoX is worthy of being used as the centerpiece in many a high-end system.
Consider using the BoX on a Star Sound Technologies (SST) platform, or a similar platform. On such a platform its performance goes up at least a notch and elevates the BoX’s imaging performance to the point where it was as good as anything I had heard in my listening room. But own its own, the BoX is a high-end bargain and a steal at its price. I simply cannot recommend it highly enough.
