INNUOS PULSE MUSIC PLAYER
Innuos PULSE : Audiophile streamer for audio DACs compatible with UPnP/DLNA, Roon, AirPlay
The British firm Innuos offers us most of its know-how in its range of HiFi Innuos PULSE music players. Innuos players combine user-friendliness and audiophile performance. For Innuos, quality sound should not compromise ease of use . Unlike its little brother Innuos PULSE Mini, the PULSE model does not include a DAC. Instead, it's built with a new, much more capable RECAP2 LPSU custom power supply for pure, organic sound.
The Innuos PULSE model has all the advantages of innuOS with full connectivity. It integrates USB, coaxial, optical and AES/EBU outputs. Connected to your external DAC, the PULSE is the audiophile network streamer par excellence to take full advantage of your dematerialized music : playback of audio files, Internet radio and streaming streams (Qobuz and Tidal). The Innuos PULSE streamer simply offers you a one-stop solution for perfect playback of all your digital music.
You navigate through your audio files and Qobuz and Tidal music subscriptions in a very simple way thanks to the Innuos Sense application or a UPnP/DLNA application. It's never been easier to browse your playlists and the millions of audio tracks on the Internet. You benefit from all the comfort of dematerialized music for uncompromising listening on your HiFi installation. The result is an incredibly open, rich and natural soundstage when listening.
Innuos PULSE : a powerful and reliable audiophile
music streamer
The Innuos PULSE audiophile streamer is configured for optimal playback of your music and benefits in particular from the innuOS operating system. It has the power and reliability to run this homemade operating system well.
The Innuos PULSE reader's motherboard is custom-designed with a quad-core Intel processor . An industrial-grade SSD module has been specifically designed for the innuOS operating system with power loss protection, low-density parity-checking ECC engine, and Global Wear-Leveling technologies. This module notably allows the operating system to operate in a stable, fast and secure manner. It also relies on a highly reliable 8GB RAM to handle even larger databases than the PULSE Mini model.
The PULSE raises the bar by incorporating a new RECAP2 LPSU custom power supply , designed in collaboration with Dr. Sean Jacobs. This new power supply brings a softer and more organic sound. The RECAP2 uses only high quality components such as :
-
Medical grade filtered IEC
-
Audio-grade toroidal transformer with epoxy-filled center to dampen vibration, magnetic shielding with SYN-SHIELD copper tape coated between windings and wrapped in black Mylar tape
-
Over 40000uF of premium Mundorf capacitors
-
Coilcraft Inductor
Innuos PULSE: two modes of use - stand-alone or End Point
In stand-alone mode : you use the Innuos Sense application to play Qobuz and Tidal streaming services, Internet radio and music stored on a NAS or a UPnP/DLNA audio server. In this mode, the network drive becomes the center of your audio system.
In End Point mode : The PULSE network player connects to a main music server, whether it is an Innuos, Roon Core music server or any other Logitech Media Server based server. The PULSE will then appear as a zone on the application of your usual music server and can be used as a receiving device during multiroom listening.
Innuos PULSE: Access a digital music collection in very high quality
The Innuos PULSE audiophile streamer offers 5 listening modes for your music : Through its RJ45 wired Ethernet network connector, the streamer is connected to your home network.
-
Via the integrated network player and the Innuos Sense application : This mode is our preference. The Innuos PULSE streamer plays music independently. The Innuos Sense application on Android and iOS only acts as a remote control. Your phone or tablet is a superb WiFi remote control with a very large screen to choose and control your music: select, search, play and choose the listening room. You get the best sound reproduction on your HiFi equipment with this mode.
-
Via the integrated network player and a UPnP / DLNA application : the Innuos streamer plays music independently via its integrated HiFi network player for optimal sound reproduction quality. You use your favorite and usual UPnP / DLNA application: mconnect, Audirvana, JRiver, BubbleUPnP or other. Your iPhone, your iPad or your Android device is a superb WiFi remote control with a very large screen to choose and control your music: select, search and play your files or your music subscription.
-
From AirPlay reception : in an operating mode identical to Bluetooth, you then use the network to play your soundtracks from an iPhone, iPad or Mac. In this way, you access all online music services such as Qobuz, Tidal, Deezer, Spotify, and much more.
